Over 200 delegates attended CAUCE 2009 to share their inspiring work and to be inspired by others.

The 56th Annual Conference of the Canadian Association for University Continuing Education (CAUCE) was hosted by UBC Continuing Studies at the Westin Bayshore in Vancouver, British Columbia from May 20-23, 2009.

This national conference of adult education professionals focused on the transformative role of university continuing education — both on campus and in the community.

Conference themes explored the ways in which our programs and practices inspire positive changes in the individuals, organizations and communities we serve. Transformative changes in our units, our institutions and our field were also examined. Conference tracks included:

The program included two keynote speakers (Mike Harcourt, former BC premier and Vancouver mayor; Carla Qualtrough, human rights lawyer and former Paralympic athlete), in addition to over 40 concurrent sessions, two pre-conference professional development opportunities, and a variety of social events.

The conference proceedings are now available. Click here for details.
